I invite you to experience Reiki through our American Reiki Academy, Los Angeles' oldest Reiki school.
As a Reiki Master and Founder/Director of the American Reiki Academy, for 33 years I have practiced and taught Reiki healing to thousands of people worldwide, empowering them as Reiki practitioners and Reiki Masters.
On this page I want to share with you what Reiki is and what it can do for you.
Simply put, Reiki is one of the world's most popular hands-on healing modalities that anyone can learn for self healing and healing others.
Reiki connects you with an energy and light that unlocks your innate healing abilities and dissolves blocks that may be holding you back in life.
What is Reiki?
The word Reiki means “universal life force energy, referring to both an ancient hands-on healing modality and an energy source that creates balance and harmony in mind, body, and spirit.
Reiki is a tool for self growth, inner healing, transformation and expansion that you can use to amplify your light and help yourself, friends, family, animals and personal projects.
When you receive Reiki, the energy clears whatever is amiss in your energy field, bringing you greater peace, happiness, relaxation, relief from stress, and wellbeing.
When you learn Reiki, you regain the innate ability to bring healing to people, animals, your personal projects, food and water.
With roots in Japan, India, and Tibet, Reiki was brought to the U.S. in the 1930s and is now practiced throughout the world and regarded as one of the the most popular healing modalities.
How does Reiki work?
Reiki works by transmitting energy from the universe to the practitioner who then transfers this energy through the hands to the self or another. In the process, physical, mental, emotional and spiritual blocks are dissolved in both the practitioner and the recipient of healing, bringing greater health and overall wellbeing.
Reiki assists the body's innate wisdom to facilitate healing where and how it is needed, helping people release unwanted conditions, stress, upset, worries, fears, as they relax and expand.
I encourage anyone with an interest in wellbeing to learn Reiki and activate a magical process of inner healing and transformation!

About our Academy
The American Reiki Academy was founded more than 30 years ago by Alexandra Savithri and is now the longest-running Reiki school in Los Angeles, where we have consistently offered Reiki classes, sessions, and practice circles. To date we have taught thousands of people worldwide all levels of Reiki.
Through our full curriculum in Reiki, you can receive thorough instruction in all levels of Reiki training, and receive ongoing support.
Small, local in-person Reiki classes are offered in Los Angeles, as well as online Reiki courses, Reiki healing sessions, and a Reiki Healing Circle for students to network and practice Reiki.

Reiki Level I - Become a Reiki Healer!
Reiki Level I is the first step in our Reiki program where the Reiki energy gets activated in your hands and energy field and you gain the ability to channel Reiki in order to heal yourself and others.
In this level you become a Reiki Practitioner and learn: what Reiki is, how the energy works, the history of Reiki, how to do Reiki sessions on yourself and others, how to work with the chakras and Reiki, how your energy field influences your Reiki, and what are the core spiritual principles of Reiki. Reiki Level I allows you not only the capacity to channel Reiki energy but also to expand your intuition and psychic awareness.
During the training, Reiki Level I energy gets activated in your energy field, hands and chakras through an initiation process that consists of four separate attunements which Reiki Master Alexandra does with you.

Reiki Level II - Become an Advanced Reiki Healer!
Reiki Level II is the second step in our Reiki program where the Reiki energy moves more deeply into your energy field and you gain the ability to perform advanced techniques with Reiki while expanding as a healer and conscious spiritual seeker.
In this level you become an Advanced Reiki Practitioner and learn: how to increase the power of your Reiki; how to perform long distance healing; how to give mental/emotional healing; how to channel messages from other realms, access and work with angelic beings and spirit guides; how to raise your vibration and increase your personal charisma and power; how to work with sacred healing symbols.
During the training, Reiki Level II energy gets activated in your energy field, hands and chakras through an initiation process that consists of two separate attunements which Reiki Master Alexandra does with you.
Written course materials are provided. Course is taught both in person and online.
Reiki Level III/ Reiki Mastership - Become a Reiki Master!
Reiki Level III / Mastership empowers you as a Reiki Master, giving you the ability to teach and initiate others into all levels of the Reiki system of natural healing. Reiki Level III represents a significant shift in your journey as you are called to help others more fully by introducing Reiki to other people and giving them the ability to be healers. This level brings you greater awareness and empowerment in many levels of your own life while also giving you a spiritual mission to spread healing through Reiki.
Reiki Mastership is the ultimate level in Reiki, helping you manifest your unique personal journey as a healer.
Reiki Level III/Mastership energy will be activated in your energy field, hands, and chakras through an initiation process. Written course materials are provided. Course is taught both in person and online.

Reiki sessions are are deeply relaxing and rejuvenating. Offered locally in Los Angeles.
Also included in the sessions are: personalized "clairaudient" channeling from the Angelic realm, crystal healing, chakra balancing, and cerebrospinal fluid technique to clear patterns in mind, body and spirit.

Reiki Healing Circle
Join us to participate in our monthly Reiki Healing Circle! This event is open to Reiki practitioners of all levels they may hone their skills, learn new techniques to enhance their Reiki, and enjoy the company of other Reiki practitioners.
